ABOUT ME >

Truth Behind the Tracks: Infrastructure and Injustice is an independent, research-based educational site created by a student researcher at Colorado State University. Since 2022, this project has evolved as part of long-term academic work in human rights, environmental justice, and Latin American studies.

It documents the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the Maya Train in Mexico — with particular attention to Indigenous displacement, deforestation, tourism development, and state-led infrastructure. The site includes maps, oral testimonies, legal cases, visual archives, and scholarly sources.

Created to support public awareness and advocacy, the platform is multilingual: available in English, Spanish, and Yucatec Maya.
